Day 01 Welcome to Beijing (SAT)
Upon arrival at Beijing International Airport, you will be met by a professional English-speaking guide and escorted to your hotel before spending the remainder of the day on your own.
Day 02 Forbidden City (SUN) (BLD)
Start your day with Tian’anmen Square, which is considered the center of Beijing and symbol of China. As you pass through the Gate of Heavenly Peace into the Forbidden City, the world of the last emperor comes to mind. The vast complex of pavilions, gardens and courtyards
is filled with fine Chinese bronzes, porcelains and paintings that exude an air of oppressive formality and ritual which were so much a part of the royal court. Then tour the Summer Palace, which is located just outside of Beijing. The Summer Palace is the largest imperial garden in the world and is filled with reproductions of garden architecture and landscaping from various palaces throughout China. The palace contains more than 3,000 buildings, including linked courtyard dwellings, shops and Tibetan-style lamaseries. An elegant 2,296-foot-long corridor, the beams and crossbeams of which are covered with exquisite paintings, connects the buildings and gardens together, providing tourists with a way to better appreciate the palaces as a whole. Some of the main features of the palace include Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake. Evening enjoy the famous Peking Opera.

Day 03 Great Wall of China (MON) (BL)
Today, explore the Great Wall of China, finished in 210 BC and running for thousands of miles. Stroll along the awesome stone animal-lined Sacred Way, then visit the Imperial Ming Tombs-Changling, burial site of the Ming Dynasty’s royalty. Visit a Jade stone-carving factory on the way back to your hotel.

Day 04 Temple of Heaven / Peking duck night (TUE) (BLD)
Start your day with the marvelous 15th-century Temple of Heaven set in lovely, park-like grounds. Enjoy a Hutong excursion by trishaw with a very different look at daily life of old Beijing, stopping for tea at a local family. Visit a pearl workshop.
Evening enjoy the marvelous Peking duck dinner.

Day 05 Bound for home (WED) (B)
Your extraordinary China travel adventure ends today. You will catch your return flight home. A CITS guide will meet you at hotel and escort you to Beijing International Airport; you should allow 2 hours for flight check-in.
